UK Services Sector Sees Strongest Outlook in a Year

In October 2025, the UK’s services PMI jumped to 52.3, up from 50.8 in September, signalling solid expansion and renewed momentum. Firms reported a rebound in new orders, particularly from domestic markets, driving higher business activity. Cost pressures eased as input inflation cooled to the lowest level in nearly a year, while price rises by service providers were the softest since mid-year. Looking ahead, companies were the most optimistic they’ve been in 12 months, buoyed by lower borrowing costs and planned investments in technology.
